Parry Murray has supplied bespoke textiles to interior design markets worldwide since the early 1960s. We work with over 55 interior design brands in the UK, USA and Europe.
Our made-to-order fabrics and products are designed in our London studio and manufactured at our factory in India. We meet international standards on quality, social and ethical levels.
Parry Murray is a design led manufacturing company, with sustainability at the core of each of our processes.
We do not work with toxic chemicals and use reverse osmosis in our dye houses to reuse and cut down on water waste.
Our raw materials are from sustainable sources and our yarns such as linen, cotton and hemp are recyclable.
We are a member of a group of companies based in India linked to the AMM Foundation. The AMM foundation actively undertakes the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility by providing medical and educational resources to marginalised communities in India.
Parry Murray was established in the late 18th century in India by Thomas Parry and initially made its name as a manufacturing and trading house. John Robert Murray joined the group in 1937 as a partner and Parry Murray was then registered in its modern form in London.
In 1960 the firm began distributing hand woven fabrics for furnishings produced in Kerala, India. In doing so, Parry Murray became one of the first companies to sell such fabrics to the West. This soon became the company’s speciality and its long-standing heritage in the industry has helped it to become a leader in the field.
Today, our London office is a buzz of enthusiastic employees dedicated to servicing our loyal customers. Our team currently consists of 15 members and we proudly work under our Indian Group Company, The Murugappa Group in Chennai, India.
